Statement of Faith

God
There is one God. He is the Creator, Redeemer, Sustainer, and Ruler of the universe. He is infinitely holy and perfect in all ways and eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. These three persons are co-equal in being, nature, power, and glory, having the same attributes and perfections. Since there is one God revealed in three Persons, He is best described as a “Tri-Unity” or Trinity. Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is God incarnate, fully God and fully man. He is co-equal with the Father. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of a virgin so that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man. He lived a sinless, human life and accomplished our redemption by dying on the cross and offering Himself as the perfect substitutionary sacrifice for the sins of His people. Our Justification is certain by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead where He demonstrated His power over sin and death by rising from the dead on the third day. He ascended to Heaven, sits at the right hand of the Father, and intercedes for us as our High Priest. He will return again to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords to Judge the living and the dead. Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and the Son of God. He is the divine helper, assistant, counselor and instructor. He makes man aware of his need for Jesus Christ. He also lives in every Christian from the moment of salvation. The Holy Spirit regenerates, forever indwells and graciously equips the Christian for godly living and service. The Scriptures
The Scriptures, the Bible, are God’s Word to us. In it, He reveals Himself to us. Human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit, wrote every book. It is the supreme source of truth and sole authority for Christian beliefs and living. The Bible is inspired by God, inerrant in the original writings, infallible, and God-breathed. Human Beings
Human beings are made in the image and likeness of God. However, Adam’s sin catapulted the creation into a fallen state, subject to both imputed and inherent sin and plunged all his descendants into depravity. Thus, all of us are marred by rebellion and disobedience, which is called “sin,” toward God, and unable to do anything to remedy our lost condition. Salvation
Salvation is God’s free gift to us. Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins. No ordinance, ritual, work or any other activity on the part of man is required or accepted in order to be saved. When we place our faith in Jesus Christ, His perfect obedience is credited to us so that God sees us through the righteousness of Christ. This saving grace of God, through the power of the Holy Spirit, also sanctifies us by enabling us to do what is pleasing in God’s sight in order that we might be progressively conformed to the image of Christ.
